Equipment racks are the backbone of any AV system. Though often out of sight, a well-organized rack with clearly labeled cables, orderly patch panels, properly mounted devices, and tidy cable management simplifies troubleshooting, shortens service time, and minimizes downtime.

I’ll work with you to optimize layout, labeling, and cable routing so your rack is reliable, serviceable, and visually professional.

The Project Life Cycle

Consulting and Planning

The AV design process begins with a structured consulting phase focused on defining project goals, technical requirements, and budget expectations. This phase includes the discovery and development of project parameters, evaluation of current and future use cases, and system planning to ensure flexibility and scalability. A rough order of magnitude (ROM) budget is developed to establish realistic cost expectations, allowing coordination with project managers and stakeholders to align scope, performance, and financial constraints early in the project lifecycle.

Design and Programming

Once the project parameters are established, the design phase translates strategy into execution. This includes development of RFQ/RFP specifications, preparation of detailed design documentation, and creation of CAD layouts for AV components and supporting infrastructure. DSP configuration and system programming are provided to ensure system performance aligns with the intended design objectives.
