I began my audio career in 2003 at the age of 17, working with a local sound and lighting company in San Angelo, TX. After graduating from Cornerstone Christian School in 2004, I attended South Plains College in Levelland, TX, to earn an Associate’s degree in Sound Technology. While attending South Plains, I learned many facets of audio engineering, from recording, mixing, live sound, and even video production. After graduating in 2006, I continued working in San Angelo, working with many artists and other events. In 2008, I was called to be the Audio Engineer and Production Manager for Aaron Watson. After a year of traveling with Aaron all over Texas and into Oklahoma, Kansas, and Nebraska, I returned to San Angelo and started my own production company, Western Audio Works, in 2009. In 2025, I sold Western Audio Works and started my own independent venture, BWAV Consulting & Design.

My specialty lies in live recording of performing arts as well as AV system design and consulting. By creating scalable, intuitive systems tailored to each client’s unique operational needs. I combine technical precision with user-focused design, ensuring every system not only works on day one but continues to support growth, flexibility, and ease of use well into the future.

I hold certifications with leading manufacturers and platforms, including QSC Q-SYS, Shure wireless and conferencing, and Netgear AV, and am actively pursuing CTS, CTS-D, Extron, and Crestron credentials to further deepen my expertise in integration and programming.

With a background in live sound engineering, I bring strong critical listening skills and diagnostic expertise to every project. I’m highly experienced in audio system tuning and speaker deployment, and use tools like Rational Acoustics’ SMAART for precision calibration. My familiarity with a broad range of DSP platforms allows me to design and optimize systems that deliver consistent, high-quality results in any environment.

I work closely with both AV integration companies and end-user organizations to deliver custom-designed AV and control solutions. Whether partnering with an integrator’s engineering team or supporting clients who plan to use their preferred IT or install provider, I focus on delivering clear, complete design packages—and stay engaged from concept through to final commissioning to ensure each system performs as intended.
